After 23 years of playing together, 8 years of it at Tahiti Nui, KanakAttack the band is no more, for now. Darryl is working with Hula Halau 'O Leilani at the Sheraton Kaua'i Coconut Beach Resort Lu'au in Kapa'a on Thursday and Sunday.

KanakAttack the band is Darryl Gonzales and Koko Kaneali'i. Darryl is a gifted left-handed, upside down guitar player and Koko picked up the bass when he lost his drum set in Hurricane 'Iniki. They've been playing together since 1992 and have been regulars at Tahiti Nui since 2007.
When Garret Santos joins them he plays bass and Koko plays the congas.

In 2009 the movie The Descendants staring George Clooney and Beau Bridges filmed a scene at Tahiti Nui in Hanalei. KanakAttack was picked after auditioning to be a part of the movie. Pictured here are Darryl Gonzales, Keola Yokotake and Koko Kaneali'i.
